Notice that to a casual observer, there appears to be not much of a difference between the two shifts.
Yet, the second one (done with touch-first) is indicative of a skill that will become
more and more important as the music becomes more advanced, since touch-first isolates the
act of
playing a key from the act of getting there (which in this case, is an advantage).

While the QuickTime movie is downloading, you may still read material in the article
by clicking in the window behind this one; you can even go on to other parts of this website.
When the download is complete and you are ready to view the movie, click again anywhere in this window.

Although you may start to watch the movie while it is downloading, it will run much smoother if you wait until the download is complete.

To begin playing the movie, click on the right-arrow in the controller bar below the picture. If no controller bar shows up beneath the movie window, you can play the movie by double-clicking inside the movie window.

Your browser probably allows you to SAVE the movie on your hard drive for future viewing. Try clicking inside the movie window and holding the mouse button down until a pop-up menu appears.
